And then she found her way,
not because she knew where she was going,
but because she slowly allowed herself to fall in
love with the person she was.
and that was enough.
“She was enough”
@tozandothersaltywords
The journey included getting lost,
it showed her twists and turns she hadn’t anticipated. Her horse blinds of the one track life she had anticipated were ripped off.
“She was her own compass”
@tozandothersaltywords
She felt lost, unplanned and as if she lacked direction. But then she realised she was her own compass.
Where was she going? She had no idea.
Was she ready to embrace it with all of her?
Absolutely.
Souvenirs
In that glass of red wine I see the history of my cache
Recollections
Laughters
You walk there, all of you, each one, as a reminder.
Like a tanneny elixir igniting a memory
A moment
A feeling.
You make me realise how you all made me
Although each of you broke me
In different ways, each took a part of me with you.
As I sip, I smile, I remember
I allow myself to feel you
Each of your warmth’s, your smiles and laughter’s.
The smell ignites that fire in me that was nearly out, patted down,
Down to embers.
But I see my way out, to carry you each with me, as I also took a part of each of you,
with kindness,
with love,
with the knowledge I am enough.
So now I can stand alone, happily, on my two feet.
Solo, with my souvenirs.
My Body is my Ride or Die
My body is not your opinion
My body is not for you to judge
My body pumps life round me 24/7
Allowing me to breathe, to move,
to feel, taste and touch.
My body is my ride or die
I love all of her.
From the curves around my hips
To the lightning in my thighs
She is the love
That keeps me alive.
Sexy and Free
The curve of her waist
The warmth of her skin
The scent of her neck
The softness of her breast
The swish of her hair
The taste of her tongue
The body she loves
That keeps her alive
Is sexy and free
Beyond the controls
Of what society expects it to be.
Relearning
How did we get to this place?
Neglecting what we’ve been blessed with,
Lacking real thought behind our actions.
She was guilty of it herself,
Of waste.
Waste of things, money, time, of energy.
Wasteful in her actions too.
We all are, we are human.
Why can’t we remember that stillness we had?
Breathe deeply and think of it, embrace it.
How do we return to living a life more tranquil?
With less waste and more stillness.
In comfort of nothing and doing nothing, simply being.
Life’s journey has caused us to forget.
Forget how to sit in our own uncomfortable silences and moments of doubt.
To be and be present in nothing but that moment.
It is time, to remember and relearn.
Salty Words
Once the salt water has all dried up,
Your anger fades
And looking back in the mirror at you
Is fearless beauty.
She isn’t strong because she never cried.
She isn’t strong because she never fell.
She isn’t strong because she never felt weak.
Oh no my love,
She is strong because she has been all of those things.
They left her with the battle-scars of her strength to stand tall even after the weakest of moments.
She knows in her strength she will feel weakness again +
The salt water will fall,
But she also knows she will too get through those moments.
Accept them, surrender to them, love them
Knowing they will make her the next better version of herself.
